The Bralley Family, cousins of George
Carter.
Encouraged by George Carter to move to Kingsport and be a part of a
"model" city he was going to build. |

The Bralley Brothers,
L to R - Samuel Guy Bralley, Charles E. Bralley & Rev. James Burton
Bralley. The photo was taken before Oct 30, 1911 which was the
date of death for Charles E. Bralley, killed in an accident on
Pocchontas R.R. in Kentucky. These men moved their families to
Kingsport from Wythe Co., Va. in 1905. Their train was met by the
Dobyns brothers in Carters Valley and taken to their new home at Frog
Bottom, near Rotherwood.

The Bralley ladies in Gibsontown, L to
R - Minnie, Mollie, Walton, Emma and Maud.
The lady in black, Louemma Williams Bralley, was great-grandmother of
Edgar "Russ" Bralley.
The young boy, George Walton Bralley is buried in the Old Kingsport
Presbyterian Cemetery.
